The Department of Microbiology offers a three-year graduate course, which can be obtained with in Microbiology (B. Sc.). The department aims to stimulate interest in the social and economic impact of microbiology in society. The department has a well-equipped spacious laboratory with precision instruments, computers and internet facilities. Microbiology is an application sector because microorganisms have multiple microbial applications in the pharmaceutical, food, dairy and beverage industries.

B. Sc. with Microbiology program covers Microbial Physiology, Industrial Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Immunology, Agricultural and Environmental Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Genetic Engineering, Molecular Biology, Advance techniques in Microbiology.

Well-equipped research facilities.

Department has two fully equipped laboratories with all necessary equipment’s like Laminar- air- flow, centrifuge, and Orbital shaker with temperature control, Hot air oven, Spectrophotometer, colony counter, Autoclave, colorimeter, UV-chamber, microscope and equipment for experiment in hematology.
